2. Project Terra Inc
Project Terra Inc 's aim is to assist the Brazilian Pataxo tribe in building a sustainable economy, while at the same time protecting, expanding and connecting the remnants of the Atlantic Rainforest.
By means of project Terra Inc we aim to achieve:
- Assist the Pataxo tribe in adequately protecting the Atlantic Rainforest of the south of Bahia, in and around Indigenous territories.
- Connecting already protected remnants of Atlantic Rainforest, by means of creating ecological 'green' corridors.
- Reforest deforested Indigenous area’s .
- Offer the tribe the opportunity to protect their native lands, crops, and identity.
-Increase the access to western medicine for the Pataxo tribe and enable the access to traditional Pataxo medicine for the world community.
- Offer the Pataxo tribe the opportunity to use their example role within Indigenous Brazilian culture in a positive way.
- Generating worldwide awareness concerning the importance of the protection of the Atlantic Rainforest.
- Offer visitors the chance to meet the Rainforest from up-close in an intimate way.
- The creation of a platform for the further support of Indigenous cultures worldwide
